Art education students learn both the theory and practice of teaching art. Graduates of the art education program are prepared to teach art to students from pre-kindergarten through grade 12.

Prospective undergraduate students interested in entering the art education major and art therapy minor programs at Buffalo State must apply through the Undergraduate Admissions Office.

Art education graduate students are prepared for the national job market or advance their teaching careers through our nationally recognized art education program that emphasizes individualized teaching strategies and the latest technology and media.

Prospective students interested in entering the M.S.Ed. or the post-bac program in art education at Buffalo State must apply through the Graduate School.
