Art education majors begin their careers with knowledge and experience as both artists and teachers. Graduates have been hired as preschool, elementary, middle, junior, and senior high school teachers; arts administrators in schools and museums; graphic and commercial art specialists; and college and university art instructors and administrators.
Buffalo State art education graduates are teaching in every state and in many foreign countries. They are employed in every job site and position dealing with the field of art education, including preschool, elementary, middle school, and high school teachers; arts administrators in schools, museums, and other settings; graphic and commercial art specialists; and art instructors and administrators at the college level with advanced credentials.
