Biography
Stan Friesen graduated in 1980 with a B.A. in Art/Graphic Design from Bethel College, North Newton, Kansas. He worked for a graphics studio in Kansas and then, from 1981-85 worked with disadvantaged youth in Newfoundland and northern Ontario, Canada.
He returned to Kansas as marketing manager and graphic designer for an offset printing company from 1985-92, and taught art/design courses at Tabor College 1990-93.
He moved with his family to Pakistan and taught art and various additional courses from 1993-96.
Upon returning to Kansas, he was employed as Director of Information Services at Tabor College from 1996-98. He worked as graphic designer for Information Services and began full time work on his M.F.A. in Graphic Design at Fort Hays State University in 1998.
Stan graduated from FHSU with an M.F.A. in Graphic Design in May of 2000. He also operates a freelance graphic design business Anno Domini Graphix.
He is currently employed as Associate Professor/Communication Design in the Design Department at Buffalo State, State University of New York (SUNY.)
