Brent Patterson is a digital media designer, artist, and consultant. He has over twenty years of experience working in various media including broadcast, video post production, visual effects, motion design, interactive design and web design. At SUNY Buffalo State he teaches motion graphics, game design, web design and other digital media courses using various software packages including the Adobe Creative Cloud, Final Cut Pro, Unity 3D and Blender. Professor Patterson is an advocate for free and open source software. His recent research has focused on designing new methods and workflows to allow small design studios, low-income schools, and independent artists to become fully operational using only free and open source software.
